Not Financial Advice
Everything on Wallet Sprouts, every calculator, every result, every explanation on the site, is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. None of it is intended as, and none of it should be treated as, personalized financial, investment, tax, legal, or insurance advice.
Wallet Sprouts doesn't know your income, your credit history, your debts, your goals, or anything else about your actual financial situation beyond the numbers you happen to type into a calculator. A calculator can't replace advice from someone who knows your full picture.
Not a Financial Institution
Wallet Sprouts is not a bank, lender, mortgage broker, investment advisor, insurance provider, or credit union. It doesn't originate loans, hold funds, manage investments, or have any business relationship with the lenders, banks, or institutions whose rates you might use as a reference point while using a calculator here.
Accuracy of Calculations
Wallet Sprouts's calculators use standard, publicly available financial formulas, the kind taught in any finance textbook. That said, several things can cause a calculator's output to differ from what you'll actually experience:
- Default assumptions: figures like average property tax rates, insurance costs, or expected rates of return are general estimates, not figures specific to you.
- Simplified models: real loans and accounts can include fees, penalties, tiered rates, or conditions that a general-purpose calculator doesn't model.
- Rates change: interest rates shown as "current" context are illustrative and can be out of date by the time you read them. Always confirm current rates with the actual lender or institution.
- User input errors: a calculator is only as accurate as the numbers entered into it.
No Guarantee of Outcomes
Projections involving future growth, like compound interest or investment return estimates, are based on the rate you choose to enter, not a prediction of what will actually happen. Past performance of any investment, asset class, or market index does not guarantee future results, and any rate of return used in a calculator is illustrative, not promised.
No calculator on this site can tell you what your actual mortgage rate, loan approval, or investment return will be. Those depend on lenders, markets, and underwriting decisions made outside of this website.
Verify Independently
Before making any real financial decision like taking out a mortgage, financing a car, opening an investment account, or anything with real money behind it, verify the relevant numbers with:
- The actual lender, bank, or financial institution involved.
- A licensed financial advisor, CPA, or tax professional for anything involving your personal finances or taxes.
- An attorney for anything with legal implications.
Errors & Omissions
Despite reasonable care in building these calculators, mistakes are possible in a formula, a default value, or how a result is displayed. If you notice something that looks wrong, reporting it is genuinely useful. Please use the contact details below, and it will be looked into.
